The Denver Shows are now on.

Here are the details:

• Denver Mineral, Fossil, Gem & Jewelry Show: This show runs from September 6th to the 15th at the National Western Complex and Denver Coliseum. It’s a massive event with over 500 dealers and 600,000 square feet of selling space.

• Denver Gem and Mineral Show/Hardrock Summit: This show will be held from September 7th to the 15th at the Hotel Westin Westminster. It will feature a variety of exhibits, including mineral displays from museums and private collectors, gold panning, gem cutting demonstrations, and more.

There has been some recent tension between some of the show promoters, with reports of disagreements over naming, venue changes and promotional strategies. Hopefully, this will be quickly resolved and will not detract from the shows themselves.

The original Denver Gem and Mineral Club Show (DGMS) is now within the Hardrock Summit, and they have a special exhibition with the theme “Mineral Oddities”.

As someone who will not be there, I look forward to (hopefully) seeing some photos of the showcases. There is usually a report on Mindat that covers these types of events.
