No, that isn’t rings made of minerals. It is minerals that form a ring.
There are quite a few minerals that can tend to form in this way. Better known ones are boulangerite (and other similar sulphosalts) and malachite. But there are others.
This mineral habit is a favourite of Canadian mineral collector, Frank Ruehlicke. If you haven’t seen a presentation on this subject by Frank, you have been missing out!
