Another artwork just finished.
You would think that a “silver coloured” mineral would be just that. Silver. But no. There are always other tints and tones that you can see.
There may be tarnishing that causes a range of colours to be perceived. Some crystal faces will reflect colours and light from other objects.
So next time you look at a lead grey or silver galena specimen, have a close look and see how many subtle colours you can see.
