RIP Brian Beyer

Sadly, Brian Beyer passed away a few days ago. Brian, from South Australia, was a very keen micro mineral collector, author, and accomplished micro photographer. He was a prolific field collector in the 1980s and 1990s, particularly in South Australia, Broken Hill, and around the Cloncurry region in Queensland.

Many Australian micro collectors, myself included, will have a specimen or few in their collection that came from Brian.

The specimen below was collected by Brian, acquired from him by the late Joan Lamond in 1996, and is now in my collection.
